winapi - Non blocking SHFileOperation -

shfileoperation needs valid window handle in performs window messages.

i use shfileoperation independently current calling process, can close process right after shfileoperation has been called (and returned?!) means "pass" process or window.

i have tried getdesktopwindow handle in order "pass" explorer.

so question is, how possible call shfileoperation, close process right after call , it's still doing job?

it not possible. if kill process shfileoperation stopped before completion. way achieve hand of task of calling shfileoperation different process.

of course, let process remain alive until shfileoperation returns. can close other visible ui process, , wait until shfileoperation completes. exit process.
