i in university , despite how hard tries our c++ teacher horrible. thinking of picking c++ programming language 4th edition. curious since great @ first choice? know of basics not nothing oop related really. second question making learn java , c++ @ same time. worry that not idea curious of thought.
if after book goes c++ in depth, book mentioned great start. though if beginner may not easiest thing work through.
i recommend c++ tutorials found here: http://www.cplusplus.com/doc/tutorial/
they teach basics of c++, , supplement stuff reading in "c++ programming language 4th edition".
as having learn c++ , java @ same time, not think idea (though others may disagree). learning c++ can challenging process on own, let alone throwing language mix.
